Carruthers T6 Koa Telecaster
Excellent Condition
Original Hardshell Case
As a lifelong guitarist, the Carruthers T6 is my favorite guitar out of many I have played through the years.
It is in excellent condition with no issues and only a few minor signs of having been played. John Carruthers was a Fender Custom Shop Master Builder for many years and this stunning guitar demonstrates his Mastery and plays and sounds like no other guitar I've ever played.
The Carruthers T6 model is a handcrafted electric guitar built in Southern California by John Carruthers, a renowned luthier with over 50 years of experience. It features a traditional look but incorporates modern electronics and improvements. This Carruthers T6 guitar was constructed with high-quality tone wood and equipped with top-tier electronics and components. It was also designed to be lightweight and resonant.
Characteristics of the Koa Body
- Appearance: Koa wood is known for its stunning aesthetic, ranging from golden brown to deep reddish-brown, with striking grain patterns that can be curly, wavy, or straight. This T6 Koa guitar showcases all these unique visual characteristics.
- Tone: Koa wood blends the midrange of mahogany with the top-end brightness of maple. It has a punchy low-mid emphasis with clear highs and sweet overtones. Koa also has a unique ability to "open up" over time with playing, developing a richer, sweeter, and more resonant tone.
- Playability: This Koa's density has become warmer and more resonant with playing. It's tonal evolution makes it an excellent instrument for players who invest time into playing them.
This Carruthers T6 Koa guitar combines the classic design and high-quality craftsmanship of a Carruthers T6 with the unique visual beauty and evolving tonal properties of Hawaiian Koa wood.
